This textbook introduces readers to SolidWorks 2013, the world's leading parametric solid modeling package. In this textbook, the author emphasizes on the solid modeling techniques that improve the productivity and efficiency of the users. The textbook consists of 19 chapters followed by student projects. The chapters are structured in a pedagogical sequence that makes the book very effective in learning the features and capabilities of the software. The textbook covers topics such as Sketching, Part Modeling, Assembly Modeling, Drafting, Surface Modeling, Blocks, Sheet Metal Design and Equations, Configurations, and Library Features of SolidWorks 2013.
Every topic in the textbook begins with a command section that provides brief information of the commands and tools that will be discussed under that topic. The authors have adopted the tutorial-point-of-view and the learn-by-doing approach throughout the textbook.
